Good Rockin' Daddies are a four-piece electric band that plays roots oriented music for kids and their families. Their musical styles include early rock and roll, blues, old country, reggae, even polka, while covering subject matter from reading and recycling to water conservation and catching frogs.

Good Rockin' Daddies shows are designed to maximize audience participation. Children are encouraged to sing along and do hand motions in several of the Daddies' songs, while others call for lyrical input from the children to help complete some of the song verses. A well-paced, volume controlled, 45 minute set is offered, with young ears and attention spans in mind.

Good Rockin' Daddies are led by Ted DeMille and Randall Morabito. Ted is a well respected elementary school teacher in Maine. A former member of the award winning bluegrass band, the OAKHURST BOYS, he currently fronts local bluegrass favorites, NORTH STAR. Randall, a local audio engineer, has worked with many national touring acts, including the role of sideman for Bo Diddley and Sleepy LaBeef. Together, with their rhythm section of P.J playing bass, and Rocky on the drums, they form a rockin' combo that delivers educationally based material with an infectious beat that never fails to inspire children's attention and participation.

Performing material from their album, "Born To Boogie", Good Rockin' Daddies have entertained enthusiastic audiences at schools and festivals all over Southern and Central Maine. Their ten song release, "Born To Boogie" has enjoyed glowing reviews in several national academic and parental magazines, and has become a favorite of librarians and teachers across the country. Their popular song, "Recycle It", aired as a public service video on WCSH-TV.

Good Rockin' Daddies participated as featured foreign guest performers in the international children's music festival, "Flying Elephant '98", in Palanga and Juodkrante, Lithuania on July 30 & 31, 1998. Randall and Ted traveled to the Baltic nation as proud cultural ambassadors representing America and the State of Maine with official endorsement of their mission from Governor Angus King, Jr..

Good Rockin' Daddies shows and recordings may have roots in the past, but they also embrace today's mediums. Their album, "Born To Boogie", is supported by their website, www.goodrockindaddies.com. The site offers further access to their music, song lyrics, musical influences, and messages with e-mail correspondence encouraged.
